Can zero burn out due to grounding of the battery outlet?

Victor asks:
The management company accuses us of having a battery outlet grounded in the bathroom. Could this affect the burning off of “zero” in the shield on the stairwell?
The answer to the question:
No. It could not have influenced in any way or you did not correctly understand what you are accused of. Let them justify the reason for the charge from an electrotechnical point of view. But for such an act as grounding on the water supply, you are not enough to put in jail! Not only is it not particularly effective, it is also dangerous for other residents of the house. Most likely you were not accused of burning away, namely, that the socket was grounded, it just opened up now.
