How to connect a rectifier for the electromagnetic brake of the engine?

Hello, tell me how to connect the brake rectifier correctly. A rectifier with only one diode, plus and minus are drawn at the output. As I understand it, it’s getting on the brake, but on the other hand I don’t understand where is the plus and where is the minus. I tried to connect, but the engine stops and does not raise or lower. What to do, maybe I'm connecting something wrong? Siemens rectifier 169800. Thank you.

Hello! At the input of the rectifier is not a constant (plus and minus), but an alternating voltage. The rectifier indicates where and what to apply. Left input for AC voltage, right rectified DC output. If you have a DC network, then a rectifier is not needed. If you apply voltage directly to the rectifier from the mains, then the brake must also act and clamp the motor shaft. The rectifier input is supplied with voltage from the contactor, starter, relay or command controller, depending on what kind of mechanism it is and what its circuit is.
The pinout is as follows: AC input - the first and second terminals, if you count from left to right. Then a jumper between the two terminals. The constant output is the fifth and sixth terminals. This is if the case is similar to what I found on the Internet. This case is sold in three versions (rectifier) and all have markings on the fact that with a white label the pinout of the friend and the marking of the terminals are poured on plastic.
