Why is the light in the hood constantly on?

In the kitchen hood, the lamps burned out, after replacing them, it turned out that now they are constantly on. When the button is pressed, nothing happens, the control LED lights up and turns off when turned off, but the lamps continue to light. What could be the reason?

Hello! Are the new bulbs exactly the same in characteristics as the old ones? There may be several reasons. First you need to remove the housing and get to the exhaust hood wiring. Check visually if all connections are isolated. After that, use the multimeter to ring the on / off button itself. It is possible that the backlight on the cooker hood does not go out due to the failure of the light switch itself, although the indicator on the front panel will work in normal mode. If the whole circuit is operational and you did not visually find any cause of the malfunction, try replacing the bulbs with the same ones as those that burned out (this is if you decided to experiment and connect other sources of power or type of light).

Apparently your board still controls the light. According to the symptoms, it seems that when the lamps burned out on the light control relay, contacts were welded, they were soldered by the short-circuit current of the lamp. It is necessary to trace the track to the relay on the circuit board and replace this relay with a similar one.
