When choosing the type of socket base for lighting lamps, they are guided by the estimated lamp power, type of lamp, supply voltage (although it is possible to apply to a 220V socket intended for 12V, but it is not necessary). They are also guided by the convenience of replacing lamps in a particular case, as well as their prevalence. You can replace not a socle, but cartridges. You have spotlights, judging by the type of cap. But, you may have to change the entire lamp if the new cartridge does not work in it.
Tip: If you want to be able to screw in popular lamps - your choice is a base E27 or E14.
