Can I leave the power supply in a power outlet?

Good afternoon! Please tell me, is it possible for a long time (in the garage) to leave a power supply with an LED in the socket? The power supply is 5V, but I put a resistor and now gives out 2V, just enough for the LED. I am afraid there will be no closure. Power supply unit of the USSR (BP-1, Mikheev A.P.). I really look forward to your reply. THANK.

Good afternoon, any type of electrical equipment included in the network should not be left unattended. However, provided that the garage is dry and if the working AV is at the input, you can basically leave it. What can happen?
    1. In case of increasing humidity of the transformer winding, the power supply unit can break through and a short circuit will occur.
    2. In the event of an overvoltage, the same will happen.
The consequences can be in the form of a knocked-out circuit breaker, or in the form of a fire. Make sure that there are no flammable substances and materials near your PSU. But I repeat - it is better to pull out the power supply from the outlet if you intend to leave the garage unattended for a long time.
