How to connect a 5-volt led strip?

Vasily asks:
How to connect a led-tape of 130 parts, and use as a garland on a Christmas tree? Is it possible to choose one power supply for such a tape if the voltage of one piece is 5 volts and the power consumption is 15 watts.
The answer to the question:
What is a 130 piece tape? 1 piece consumes 15 watts? Most likely you are mistaken. A meter of tape can consume so much - 1 piece is not. The power supply can be selected any 5-volt with the corresponding output current - then connect each piece of tape in parallel.

If the power supply will be with baboutIf the output voltage is higher, then divide the output voltage by 5 volts and connect so many pieces in series.

For example, if you have a 15 volt power supply, then connect 3 pieces in series and connect these “garlands” of three pieces in parallel to each other. But you are more likely to find a powerful 5V, 12V, 24V or 36V power supply than 15, 30 or 60 Volts. The current strength of the power supply must be taken so that there is more current consumed by the tape by 20-30%.

But is this idea worth the result?
