Linear Halogen Lamp Polarity
Hello. Household floor lamp with adjustable light intensity handle. The standard linear halogen lamp burned out. Bought at 300 watts. There is no indication of polarity anywhere, but the lamp turns on only in one position, and in the opposite - no. What is the reason? Thank.

Hello! What is the lamp base and what voltage does it feed from? Halogen lamps are not polarity sensitive. If it works in one voltage - then what's the difference why it does not work in another? Inspect the base, possibly the reason is in the contacts.
