Hob + oven connection

Hello, a three-core cable is sticking out of my wall. It is connected to a 40A machine. Can I connect both a hob and an oven to it at the same time? What is the best way to do this if the hob also has three cores at the outlet, and a plug at the oven. Thanks in advance.

Hello! Connecting the hob and oven to one power cable can be done as follows (I met this method in one of the forums, there was a whole discussion on this subject and now one of the options was the most optimal, and most importantly reliable). Take a two-pole circuit breaker for 16 A, put it in a box for 2-4 modules, the main thing is that the box is with a ground bus, and the terminals of the machine are with double clamps. So here. From the bottom, connect your input cable (phase and zero) and immediately the cable from the hob (another phase and zero). The third wire is the grounding of two cables connected to the PE bus. On top of the machine, connect a piece of a three-wire wire in the same way: put the phase and zero on the terminals, grounding on the bus. connect the outlet to this wire to turn on the oven plug. The socket will fit in a box of 4 modules, which you can fix in the kitchen. Everything will turn out neatly and safely (protection will work for problems with the oven and problems with the hob). The main thing is to make sure that the input power cable is of suitable cross-section.

Send me a diagram in the mail! If it's not hard for you ! And one more question ! And the cross section of the wire can be reduced to a cooking outlet, for example, from 3: 6 to 3: 4. And why should they be connected, if possible.

According to the normal scheme, the hob and oven should have their own individual cables and their own machines. Automata are selected according to the load of devices. But if they threw one cable already and the repair was already done, then I would have done so. Look at the cross section of the wire that sticks out of the wall. It is not a fact that an automatic machine for 40A is correctly selected for this wire. If the wire is 6 mm (GOST) of copper, then it can withstand a maximum of 34 Amperes (7.7 kW), which means that the machine must stand at 32 Amperes. Next, you should look at the power of your electrical appliances, hob and oven. For these capacities, we will choose machines for them. I recommend cutting the plug off the oven.At the back of the oven, place an internal panel for 6 modules, a two-pole input circuit breaker at 32A and two outgoing machines from it, which will be selected according to the load for the hob and oven. From below, to connect these machines both a hob and an oven. On the other end of the cable on the power side, you also need to put the machine at 32 Amps. I consider this method the most reliable.

I wonder how then do people live?

Socket 3 * 2.5 for washing, but it also connects a hair dryer, toothbrushes, phone ... If it closes, then the machine will not click on 25a and the wire will stand, but everything that is connected 2 * 1.5; 2 * 0.75 and burns etc.

It turns out that the wire to the cooking 3 * 6, we make 2 sockets and connect both the cooking and the oven, it will be like something else with a washer. Or turn on the TV in the socket with a kettle ....
