Why does a fuse blow out in front of a voltage converter?

A solar system is installed in the garden (2 panels of 250 W each, 30 A charge controller, 4 x 150 Ah batteries, 12 x 220 V 3000 W transducer) and a 250 W electric pump for lifting water from a well 7 meters deep. After the pump has been running for 5-8 minutes, a sharp jump in current occurs, which knocks the fuse in front of the 40 converter (the pump is cold). After a break of about 5-10 minutes, you can turn on the pump again for the same 5-8 minutes. What can it be and what can be done?

    According to the characteristics of your solar system, a 250 W electric pump should work stably, but provided that the batteries have enough charge, the batteries may not have time to charge. Solar panels in fact can produce significantly less power - try to fully charge the batteries before turning on the pump.
    It is also possible that the pump in fact has a large power consumption or has some kind of internal malfunction. Try connecting another load of the same power to the solar system and see how it works.
