Why did the phase disappear after connecting the ground?

Hello! When replacing the outlet, I noticed that the ground wire is not connected, there is no ground (checked on the case with an indicator screwdriver). The apartment has circuit breakers, looked there, the ground wire of this group of outlets is not connected to ground wires. I connected everything, now the phase is completely gone (even if I disconnect the ground wire). What could be the reason?

In this case, two reasons. Either you incorrectly connected the conductors in the distribution panel, or you have a damaged cable - that is, a broken phase wire. It is necessary to check the correct connection, and if everything is connected correctly, then ring the wire - determine the integrity of all cable cores.
