Why do not the sockets work after turning off the lights in the apartment?

My problem is this: after turning off the lights in an apartment of 8 outlets, only three are left to work. There is light everywhere, automatic devices are in order, a screwdriver indicator shows that there is electricity in the outlet, but when the appliance is turned on, it does not work, what could be the problem?

The indicator shows the presence of phase, but it does not show the presence of zero. If the appliances do not work, then zero has burned out. In some area, the wiring is damaged, to say exactly where - you need to check all wiring. If there is no zero in several outlets, then you need to check the junction box from which they are connected, the cable that powers this box, as well as in the shield where this cable is connected. In general, you need to check the presence of voltage with a voltmeter or multimeter in the voltage measurement mode. The indicator only checks the phase.
