Why does the starting capacitor of the electric motor not work?

Andrew asks:
Hello. There is a three-phase motor converted to network 220, approximately 3-3.5 kW (no passport). I picked up a working capacitor for 90 microfarads (if you put more, the motor heats up), the launcher costs 600 microfarads. When I start only the engine everything works well, but when I connect it to the belt drive, the starting capacitor seems to not work, the speed is set at the expense of the working capacitor, and when I press the start (I have a special starter), the engine only slows down and buzzes. Please tell me what is the matter and what to do. Thanks in advance.
The answer to the question:
Hello! To start, ring the starting capacitor, maybe it is broken or has lost capacity. After that, you will already understand what needs to be done. I think that everything will be decided by replacing this capacitor.
