Why does the multimeter show OL when measuring capacitor capacitance?

When I put my multimeter to measure the capacitance of the capacitor, it shows me O.L. I replaced the batteries, the voltage measures normally. And when I measure the capacity, it shows either all zeros or O.L. What does that mean?

Perhaps you measured a charged capacitor once and this multimeter mode has failed. The second reason is the wear of the contacts of the mode selector. If a part of the electronic circuit breaks down, then it will probably be faster and easier to buy a new device, because the old one needs to be repaired either by replacing the nodes with known-good ones, or by diagnosing it with an oscilloscope.
