Differences of DRL lamps from DRV?

Timothy asks:
What are the differences between DRV and DRG lamps?
The answer to the question:
Maybe not DRG, but DRL? If so, then the DRV lamps work without a choke. The current limiting element, a tungsten filament, is already integrated in the lamp. In DRL it is not. Therefore, for the operation of DRL, a throttle is also needed. No more differences.
