Is it dangerous to insert cardboard into the socket?

Renata asks:
Hello. We often used one of the sockets in the kitchen: both perforators and heaters, as an extension cord was connected there. And once, I smelled of burning, turned off the power in the shield, called an electrician. It turned out that the outlet began to melt. I was puzzled by the further actions of an electrician. He put in cardboard there, supposedly to strengthen the outlet. Please tell me is it safe?
The answer to the question:
Hello! Of course this is dangerous. If the outlet melts, and there is plastic, then the cardboard will light up completely. And do not load outlets like that. They should be protected by a 16A machine, you have more, apparently. A damaged outlet must be replaced.
