Do I need to protect the cable with open wiring in the garage?

The cable is two-core, the core thickness is approximately 2 mm. But the most interesting thing is that the screen above was also copper (if I remember correctly, it is called shielded). So dude cut this screen from above and gave it to me saying the same cable only without a screen. And he gave it to me because I wanted to change the wiring in the garage. And the question is: can I make wiring in this form? Maybe you need to pack the cable in something, for example, in a corrugation or cable channel, or can you mount it on the walls without everything? I want to make a garage of plates, wiring for light, sockets and emery. There is a separate branch for welding.

We recommend that you nevertheless lay the wiring in the corrugation or box. And the view will be aesthetic, and the cable will have additional mechanical protection.
