Does not show part of the number in the seven-segment indicator

Denis asks:
Hello, there was such a problem, namely, it does not show part of the number, for example, instead of 8 it shows 6, one stick in the number stopped showing.

The question arose whether it was really possible to fix it myself, my hands were growing where I needed it, I was repairing coffee machines myself, but I had nothing to do with hobs, I’ll say right away that the panel was glued with silicone and the moisture couldn’t get there, was it really possible to burn out or was the contact removed? And is there any way to get to these numbers ...

Indicator segment does not work

The answer to the question:

Hello! I have not encountered and do not know what type of indicator there is. If under the glass (or whatever it is) there is a regular seven-segment LED indicator - then it changes to the same or with the same pinout. One segment may be blown, a resistor that limits the current in it, or just a crack in soldering.

And he could burn from anything - from temperature, power surge, defective current-limiting resistor, etc.

As for the opportunity to get close - if you are doing repairs, you yourself perfectly understand what you need to open and watch what is available to us or ask on thematic forums where people working on cooktops communicate.
