Is it possible to use a ball screw in electrical wiring?

Hello. To me, one electrician made a wiring in the apartment on the ceiling (on the clamps) to the places of spotlights (he planned to continue the stretch ceiling). The wiring to the luminaire or to a group of luminaires (I plan 8 cotton GX-53 lamps) was made with a ШВВП 2х0.75 380 V wire, GOST 7399-97. Today, another electrician came (invited to connect the hood) and said that this (wire laid on the ceiling) must be replaced, because it is not suitable for these purposes and in one place it turned out 7 lamps on one wire, and it can not withstand such a load. And he said that at 50 per meter he was ready to replace everything. Tell me, please, is this really the wrong wire or does a person just need an order? Sincerely, Igor

    Hello! I believe that this electrician wants to "breed" you for money. Apparently the lamps you have connected with a cable, i.e. from one lamp to the next. Another option is when from the distribution box to each of the fixtures. Not so important. Your total line length is unlikely to exceed 10-15 meters. Cross-sections of 0.75 cores withstand current up to 15 A with open laying (your case, apparently, if the wire is laid without corrugation). 7 lamps of 8 watts each is 56 watts, the current in this case will be negligible - 56/220 = 0.255A, that is, a quarter of an ampere. With such a consumption, such a line can be up to 200 m long with losses within the normal range, according to calculations. Or if you consider that your line is 10-15 meters long - you can load it with devices up to 2.5 kW (maximum load, not recommended) - draw your own conclusions.
    Ball screw itself, although not very suitable for open installation, but if you consider that it will be laid in your suspended ceiling, that is, the influence of ultraviolet radiation on it is excluded, it is quite acceptable. Although it is better to lay it in the corrugation.
