Is it possible to connect a screwdriver to the network through a transformer?

Hello! Such a question: there is a transformer OCO 0.25 UHL 3 0.25 kVA 220/12 V with an output current of 20 A. Can it be used to power a 12 V cordless screwdriver from the mains? What diodes are needed for the rectifier bridge? Thanks if you answer!

    It is possible, but a transformer with a midpoint on the low side behaves best, the efficiency is higher. Do not be too lazy to look for one. Circuit problems - initial power will drop. Itself remade a 200-watt electronic transformer from halogens, on request just for the shurik.
