Is it possible to connect a driver with a lower milliampere to the luminaires?

We bought LED-150 street lamps (such as RKU), on which 3 drivers (chokes) of 50W each are installed. After a year with a small number of ice drivers burned out, I bought new drivers of the same model, but a bit smaller and having a different milestone. We installed SF-PF50W (1500mA) on the luminaire, and in return we purchased SF-PF50A (1050mA). The electrician who carries out the installation said that they will not last even one week. Can we install these chokes? Thank.

And why do you call drivers a driver or a choke? Drivers also choose according to the "milliamps", and how did the electrician argue this? If he does not distinguish the voltage source from the current source, you should not trust him to service LED devices. Could you send photos of new and old drivers or find them on the Internet? The fact is that I could not find anything by the markings you indicated. Perhaps this is not a current source, but a voltage source - then the electrician is right! If nevertheless it is a current source and its power is suitable for your lamp - it simply will not shine so brightly, but the LEDs will last longer.

Denomination is not too high, it is possible, and most likely you will not even notice light output.
