Generator power to power an electric heater in a sauna (power 3,5 kW)

Good afternoon, dear experts. Kindly tell me, what kind of power to choose a mobile generator to provide power to an electric heater in a 3.5 kW sauna? Also, is it possible to use a home electrical network for the same purpose if the mains switches are rated for max. a load of 15 amperes? Thank you in advance for your reply. Igor.

The generator power is selected based on the load power. That is, if you need to power an electric device with a power of 3.5 kW, then the generator must give out a rated power of at least this value. And you should pay attention - it is the rated power, that is, the power that the generator can give out for a long time, working in normal mode without overload. As for the network - do you have a 16 A circuit breaker? If so, then from this machine you can power a load of 3.5 kW, but no more. That is, if you turn on the electric heater with a power of 3.5 kW, then you will not be able to operate other electrical appliances, since at a load above 16 A, the circuit breaker will disconnect from the overload after a while (depending on the magnitude of the overload).
