What wire is used in automotive wiring?

Vladimir asks:
I decided to replace all the wiring on the passenger car trailer MMZ - it has already dried up and breaks. The trailer is about 30 years old. Which wire (cable) is best to do?
The answer to the question:
Hello! It can be done with ordinary soft wire with multi-strand conductors of type PV-3. There are also PGVA wires that are better designed for this purpose - a flexible wire in vinyl insulation for automobiles or PVA. In practice, I also laid separate lines with a two-core ball screw, for example, for fog lights and everything worked fine. You can use other types of PVA (round flexible wire for extension cords), but it is too thick.

Perhaps the best option for the trailer is single-wire conductors PV, PVA, PGVA corrugation.
