Which RCD should I choose if the load is 5 kW?

I want to put an RCD on 2 machines, the load on them will be a maximum of 5 kW. What should I choose an RCD by power and which machines to put? Do you need RCD protection or not? An opening machine costs 40 amperes. Thanks in advance.

5 kW is a load of almost 23 A. As for the rating of the machines - see what is the maximum load on each of the two lines and based on these data choose machines. For example, one machine is 16 A, the other is 10 A, or two machines 16 A each, if the load on one of the lines reaches this value.
RCDs are installed to protect electrical appliances, during the operation of which there is a possibility of electric shock in case of failure of the electrical appliance. RCD choose at a value higher than the total current of the selected two machines. For example, if these are two machines with 10 A + 16 A = 26 A - choose an RCD of 32 A. If two machines of 16 A = 32 A each choose an RCD of 40 A.
