What cable section is needed for 75 kW?

It is necessary to calculate the cross-section of the cable. Length 1000 meters, power 75 kW. Which automatic machine to put on the input and cable cross-section which to choose?

The rated current of the motor is about 190 A. More accurately, it is possible to calculate, taking into account the power factor and efficiency indicated on the motor passport, I took the average values. When choosing a cable, the starting currents of the motor must also be taken into account. It is not known in what mode the electric motor works - you need to know exactly what inrush currents and whether there will be a strong voltage drop when the motor starts.
For this engine would be enough 120 square meters. mm, but with such a length there will be a large voltage drop, here you need to take 500 square meters. mm and even with such a cross-section, it is impossible to guarantee the normal operation of the engine, especially if it is difficult to start, there will be a large voltage drop.
I think that it is more advisable to draw a high voltage line at such a distance and in the immediate vicinity of the load put the transformer substation with a step-down transformer 10 / 0.4 kV or 6 / 0.4 kV, depending on what class of voltage of the high-voltage lines in your area.
This is a serious question - here you need to contact specialists in any case. And this is not just connecting a small load - here you need to contact the supplying organization and clarify the possibility of connecting such a load. Typically, existing networks with installed transformer substations or transformer substations are not designed to connect such a load, then a new transformer is needed and another question immediately - is the existing high-voltage line designed to connect a new load?

A 75 kilowatt engine is not installed just like that. To connect such an engine there must be a project. Well, if a freebie. it’s very simple PUE 6 edition will tell you everything. And the easiest way is 1mm2 to 9 amperes of the load current, no mistake.
