How to make a branch for connecting an outlet?
Good afternoon, I wanted to know if there is a cable coming from the electrical panel in the entrance from the fuses directly to the washing machine, is it possible to install a socket on this cable through another cable simply by twisting one with the other, both copper ones, have a different cross-section. Only a wi fi router will be connected to the outlet, no special loads are expected. I would like to know how safe and correct this is in terms of connection, thanks in advance)
Hello! Forget twisting. They can not be done (PUE 2.1.21.). Connect the wires with terminal blocks, welding or soldering. Otherwise, I do not see any contraindications. What power washing machine? If up to 3 kW, then you can use Wago terminal blocks, PPE caps, if more - then welding, soldering or sleeving is better.
