How to connect a CBB61 capacitor to a hood motor

Alexander asks:
Hello, tell me how to connect a CBB61 capacitor. I bought two axial fans, removed the box lid from them and saw that both had different connections, how to assemble them now? 3 wires come out of the motor, blue brown and white, the capacitor has two red wires, how and with which wire to connect, to which phase to connect, zero in this circuit.
The answer to the question:
Hello! It is necessary to measure the resistance of the windings. You have 3 conclusions, measure between each of them - 1 and 2, 2 and 3, 1 and 3. The pair between which the greatest resistance does not interest us so far - this is the end of the working and starting. Where the smallest is the working winding, where the larger is the starting winding, let's say 1-3 = 10 Ohms, 1-2 = 4 Ohms, 2-3 = 6 Ohms. Then 1-2 is the working, and 2-3 is the starting winding. Wire number 2 is their connection point.

Next, we feed the phase and zero to the working one (conclusions 1 and 2 in the above example) and the phase through the capacitor to the starting (for example, the phase was fed to terminal 1, we also connect the capacitor and the second capacitor wire to wire number 3 (end of the starting winding in the example )

But it seems to me that you will have the same resistances - then it doesn’t make a difference, the phase and zero are two wires, the phase is third through the capacitor, but if the shaft turns in the wrong direction, you need to swap the wires.

p.s. Why did they disassemble and disconnect the wires? 🙂
