If there are three wires, then the starting winding connects a pair of microfarads and a resistor of about 100 Ohms through the capacitor, at least it was written on my motor nameplate from the bobbin.
If it has 4 contacts, then 2 of them are connected to the network, 2 are combined, and connected by a circuit from a capacitor and a resistor according to the following logic:
If you hold the shaft up, then 1 and 3 contacts are connected by a jumper, a resistor with a capacitor is connected between the second and third, and power is supplied to 2 and 4.
