How to connect two powerful devices to one outlet so that nothing burns out?

Victor asks:
Good afternoon! You need to connect 2 devices, each consuming 600 watts. Soviet sockets without grounding. Will replacing the outlet with a new one without grounding help connect 2 devices to 1 outlet, so the power will be 1200 watts. What is the best way to act in order not to burn out and not to remain without light, while not conducting grounding? (It is possible to connect to 2 sockets)
The answer to the question:
Good afternoon! All modern sockets withstand currents up to 16A, this is 3.5 kilowatts of power, and Soviet ones were at 10A (2.2. KW) and at 6A (1.2 kW). Yes, the socket is better to replace. But if your wires to the outlet are very thin, then you should not hope for 16A. Nevertheless, 1200 watts is about 6A and I think that everything will be fine.
