Is there a difference in electricity consumption with a different number of heating elements?

Gulnara asks:
Through the electric heater, I set how many tenes will be turned on (required power) for electric heating. Is there a difference in the price of electricity, what capacity I choose.
The answer to the question:
Yes there is. The more TENs you turn on, the more electricity you consume, and the more the meter “wraps” it. But if your temperature on the boiler is regulated, for example, by a rotary handle-thermostat, then the difference in consumption will not be so significant, since the heating elements are switched off when the set temperature is reached. In simple words, few TENs will heat the water longer, and many TENs will heat up faster and shut down faster.
