An experiment with a heating element from an electric kettle

Hello, is it possible to use a disk heater from an electric kettle to "dry". For example, taking a container from a thermal sweat and attaching this disk heater to its bottom. That is, the tank will be placed on top of the heater. It turns out that the heater will not come into direct contact with the water, therefore it will be “dry”. I heard such an opinion that such a heater burns out without water, but if I use this method as I suggested?

Why such experiments? Do not do this, it is better to find another alternative. Homemade products do not lead to good, remember that you can play a cruel joke with the connection of electricity and water.
