Adding a circuit breaker to the flap

In the switchboard there is an introductory machine, jumpers go from it to the outgoing group machines, which are interconnected by a comb. Is it possible to add another or 2 automatic machines by feeding them with jumpers and what section of these jumpers should be? For example, a C16 machine is added to an outlet. Can I put a supply jumper on this machine with a cross section of 2.5 mm, because there can be no more than 16 amperes on this machine, because the machine will knock out, thereby the 2.5 mm power jumper will not get warm or will not burn at all .
Or should the supply jumper still be the same as the input?

Yes you can. But will the opening automaton react normally to this? You must understand that adding group automata - you only add protected circuits. All the load will still fall on the input.
You can connect with jumpers, given that it is very short, and with the load you specify, you can connect a conductor with a cross section of 1.5-2.5 square meters. mm
