Is it safe to connect devices through adapters?

Good afternoon! I have such a task: to connect a device with a Chinese type I plug, but I am limited to some adapters. First, I insert the device into the adapter on the European plug. But this adapter is not included in the surge protector due to its large volume and small surge protector. There is another adapter from the European / American (Type A) plug to the European one, and it is suitable for the surge protector socket. As a result: I insert the device into the first adapter, then into the second, and only then into the surge protector.

Question: is such a design safe, can something short-circuit, burn, or even catch fire? All devices seem to be new and without defects. Thanks in advance for your reply!

Adapters increase resistance, resulting in heating. Considering that you want to connect your device through several adapters at the same time, I advise you to cut off your Chinese plug and connect the appropriate one to get rid of all the adapters and directly include the device in the surge protector. It will be much safer!
